The post is all about the daily-to-daily Spices and seeds you eat, but you are not aware of its thousands of health benefits which play a vital role in your mental and physical health development and your childā€™s growth.

There is a long list for the spices and seeds, but I have composed up only 5 must add spices and seeds for your breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, in Dal or in Curries and its health benefits.

Cumin and Black Cumin:

The botanical name of the Cumin Plant is Cuminum cyminum. Cumin seeds are the most popular seeds commonly used as a spice after being dried.  The widely used cumin seeds are cultivated in India, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, and United States. Learners should not confuse the cumin with sweet cumin, commonly known as Anise (Botanical Name: Pimpinella anisum). There is another type of species of the cumin, which is black cumin (Nigella sativa).

The seeds are a very popular spice in Indian cuisines, American, Middle East countries, and North African dishes, in many more countries too. The seeds are also used in powdered form in a variety of food products and commercial products. Not only in foods but the seeds can be used in scent cosmetics. The Cumin seed oil is extracted by the process of steam distillation and is used in flavored alcoholic beverages, sweets, desserts, and as a ground powder of a whole spice mixture. The taste of the seeds is earthy, warm, and aroma mixed with sweetness and bitterness.

A. The seeds may help you with fat reduction and promote weight loss. Some studies suggested that concentrated cumin supplements can promote weight loss. The typical serving dose in terms of supplements should not exceed 300-600 mg/day.

You will find Cardamom in the form of Pods that contain a number of seeds, but the entire Cardamom pod is also used as a whole or ground. For several decades, the spice has been used in various countries in cooking and medicinal products. The spice has highly used in India, Middle East countries, Arabian Countries as well as in Sweden. The spice is not only used in the powder form in Spice powder but also used in Coffee and Tea.

The two main varieties of cardamom are black cardamom (Botanical Name: Amomum subulatum) and green cardamom (botanical name: Elettaria cardamomom). Even if both the types of Cardamom are available in the above-mentioned countries, it is often specified, which cardamom is being used. But as we all know, the top choice for sweet dishes is green Cardamom as an ingredient, whereas both the cardamom works well in savory cuisines too.
